Le Centre de l’Entrepreneuriat (CoE) de la Chambre de commerce internationale des Nations Unies (ICC-UN) a récemment annoncé le lancement de son hub à Casablanca, renforçant ainsi sa présence en Afrique. Après l’ouverture réussie de hubs à Istanbul en février 2020 et à Beyrouth en octobre 2020, cette expansion stratégique vers de nouvelles régions témoigne de l’engagement continu du CoE à développer les compétences entrepreneuriales des jeunes et à promouvoir l’esprit d’entreprise dans les pays concernés.
Les objectifs clés des centres nouvellement établis à Casablanca, Accra, Nairobi et Lagos sont multiples. Tout d’abord, ils visent à développer les compétences des jeunes entrepreneurs en leur offrant des formations et des programmes adaptés à leurs besoins spécifiques. Ensuite, ils aspirent à stimuler et à consolider l’esprit d’entreprise au sein de ces pays en créant un environnement propice à l’innovation et à la croissance des entreprises.
Ces centres joueront également un rôle crucial en tant que plateformes de partage d’expériences réussies en matière d’entrepreneuriat, tant au niveau local que régional. Les entrepreneurs auront l’occasion d’apprendre des réussites et des échecs des autres et de créer des synergies pour favoriser leur développement.
Enfin, grâce à la connectivité numérique, ces centres permettront de mettre en relation les entrepreneurs des pays ciblés avec des experts du réseau mondial de l’ONU et de la Chambre de commerce internationale. Ce lien virtuel offrira un encadrement et un tutorat à distance appropriés, permettant aux entrepreneurs de bénéficier de conseils d’experts pour la croissance et la durabilité de leurs entreprises.
Il est important de souligner que la Commission économique des Nations Unies est le principal partenaire du CoE, travaillant en étroite collaboration avec les comités nationaux et les chambres de commerce pour atteindre les objectifs communs de développement économique et d’entrepreneuriat durable.
Le lancement officiel du Centre de l’Entrepreneuriat de Casablanca a eu lieu le 16 septembre 2021, marquant ainsi une étape cruciale dans les efforts continus du CoE pour soutenir l’entrepreneuriat en Afrique.
Les principales missions prioritaires attribuées à ce Centre peuvent être résumées comme suit :
- Promouvoir l’esprit d’entrepreneuriat, en particulier chez les jeunes, en leur fournissant les compétences et les ressources nécessaires pour développer et concrétiser leurs idées commerciales.
- Favoriser la digitalisation des petites et moyennes entreprises (PME) en assurant leur connectivité, leur accès aux marchés numériques et leur transformation digitale, afin de renforcer leur compétitivité sur le marché mondial.
- Accompagner les start-ups à travers des formations spécialisées, un suivi régulier et des services de soutien adaptés à leurs besoins spécifiques. Cela permettra de renforcer leur résilience.
